We will begin our tour by picking you up from your hotel to explore the two facets of Lima: its modern side and its historic center. This tour will show us the impressive history of the capital of Peru, known as the "City of Kings."
We will start our journey through Modern Lima, visiting the exclusive district of Miraflores with its spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. We will stop at the famous Parque del Amor (Love Park), where we will see the iconic sculpture "The Kiss" by Peruvian artist Victor Delfín. Then, we will have a panoramic view of the Huaca Pucllana, an impressive pre-Inca ceremonial center built in the 4th century AD, which survives in the midst of the modern city.
We will continue to the Historic Center of Lima, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will visit the Plaza de Armas (Main Square), where the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, and the Cathedral of Lima are located. Our guide will explain the rich history that these buildings hold.
Finally, we will visit the Convent of San Francisco and its Catacombs. This architectural complex is one of the jewels of colonial art and houses a vast network of underground tunnels that served as a cemetery during the viceregal era. At the end of the tour, we will drop you off back at your hotel.
